AHRI and ACCA created a brief survey of U.S. HVAC contractors to determine the actual cost of complying with the recently proposed nationwide 92 percent AFUE standard for residential gas furnaces. 

The March Contractor Comfort Index shows that contractors’ positive outlook on short-term growth is continuing at the start of spring.

After June 30, state and local contracting associations will be able to control their own membership dues, enroll and renew members, and develop their own strategic plans and benefits. ACCA has recognized CalcuNow.com’s “Manual J Residential Block Load” online app as compliant with Manual J block load calculation procedures. 

The February Contractor Comfort Index (CCI) shows that contractors continue to feel positive about short-term growth in 2015, according to ACCA.

The CCI score registered at 74, showing that contractors are feeling better than they were 12 months earlier, when the CCI was 69.

The indoor envirnment and energy efficiency association faced many changes and challenges in 2014 and anticipates further regulatory action in 2015.
