Survey Aims to Determine Cost to Comply with 92% AFUE National Standard
ARLINGTON, Va. — Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and ACCA created a brief survey of U.S. HVAC contractors to determine the actual cost of complying with the recently proposed nationwide 92 percent AFUE standard for residential gas furnaces. In addition, the survey also seeks information on markup practices. The proposed Department of Energy (DOE) standard would, if not changed in the interim, take effect in 2021. The survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete. To participate, visit www.surveymonkey.com/s/ACCA2.
