ACCA’s Contractor Comfort Index (CCI) scored an 86 in May, an all-time high. 

ACCA, the indoor environment and energy efficiency association, announced that registration is now open for its Service Managers Forum, which is taking place Oct. 9-10 at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. This event is presented by ACCA and The NEWS.

The score is calculated based on a survey of the association’s contractor members, who are asked how positive they feel about new business prospects, existing business activity, and expected staffing decisions in the short-term future. 

The nearly hourlong presentation was made by Charlie McCrudden, senior vice president for government relations for ACCA.

Inside a board room at a downtown hotel in Norfolk, Virginia, 13 contractors from around the country convened in search of ways to improve their businesses. It was a semi-annual meeting of the ACCA MIX Group “Nothing But Net.”

ACCA, the indoor environment and energy efficiency association, has published its latest ComforTool for contractor members to help educate customers. The new addition to this series of fliers, “Orphan Gas Appliances,” explains what orphan appliances are, why they are dangerous, and how to correct the issue.

ACCA announced that its Contractor Comfort Index (CCI) has reached 81 for April, the highest the CCI has ever been in the four years the association has tracked contractors’ opinions on short-term economic growth. The CCI is up from 73 in March.

The score is calculated based on a survey of the association’s contractor members, who are asked how positive they feel about new business prospects, existing business activity, and expected staffing decisions in the short-term future.

The conference featured several MainStage sessions, more than 30 Learning Labs, and the IE3 Expo, giving contractors heaps of knowledge to take home and implement in their business practices.
