Real gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 2.6 percent on a seasonally adjusted annualized basis during the year’s second quarter, according to Associated Builders and Contractors Inc.’s (ABC) analysis of data released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Nonresidential fixed investment, a category of GDP embodying nonresidential construction activity, expanded at a 5.2 percent seasonally adjusted annual rate. This follows a 7.2 percent expansion during the first quarter.

Global Boiler Market Heats Up

UK is no longer the largest market
August 31, 2017

Driven by environmental policy uptake and increasing gasification in Asia, the domestic boiler market grew in 2016 to 12.7 million units, with China recording the most dynamic market uptake. The growth in the China and South Korea markets resulted in the UK dropping from being the largest world market for domestic boilers to the third largest, according to the latest Building Services Research & Information Association (BSRIA) market intelligence study.
