Completed in 2017, The House at Cornell Tech is the world’s largest building to meet Passive House criteria, the strictest international standards for building performance and energy efficiency. At the heart of the building’s unique Passive House design is an HVAC system designed to provide exceptional comfort and indoor air quality for a fraction of the residents’ usual energy costs.
This product is suitable for any material and doesn’t react to temperature changes. It effectively seals leaks up to 5 mm and 825 psi, according to the company. This sealant can be mixed with two fingers, and, once applied, the leak is closed. It is designed for emergency sealing and does not disperse any residue into the system.
EP13LTE is a one-part epoxy for structural bonding applications. It cures readily in one to two hours at 300°-350°F. This epoxy paste has limited flow while curing. It bonds well to many substrates, such as metals, glass, composites, ceramics, and plastics.
Master Bond EP41S-F is a two-part epoxy for bonding, sealing, coating, and encapsulation applications. It combines fast ambient temperature cure speed with chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties. This versatile system is easy to handle and has a forgiving 100:25 mix ratio by weight.
3M Extreme Sealing Tape is a single-sided acrylic tape designed for difficult sealing applications. It holds securely through sun, rain, snow, extreme temperatures, and humidity for an instant seal that rolls on fast.
AC/SMARTSEAL Quick Shot’s advanced formula is designed for leak repair and leak prevention with the focus on the user. It has been designed with HVAC technicians in mind. The product comes with a re-usable injection hose and a one-time-use cartridge of sealant.
Aeroseal’s demonstration of the Homeseal Pro drew a large crowd around its booth on Tuesday afternoon at the AHR Expo. Contractors gathered around to feel first-hand the effectiveness of the inside-out duct sealing technology that Aeroseal offers.
