Recently, a survey conducted by Clear Seas Research on behalf of The ACHR NEWS, found that online reviews are “extremely important,” “very important,” or “important” to over 90% of surveyed homeowners, when making the decision on what HVAC contractor’s service to go with. However, of the surveyed HVAC contractors, only 61% actually post online reviews to their website.
Positive reviews can be curated for use on a contractor’s website. Whether the reviews come from Google, the Better Business Bureau, or Yelp, contractors can start reaping the benefits of positive reviews, so long as they advertise them.
In order to make the most of online reviews, contractors have to constantly manage their online reputation, according to Chris Hunter, principal industry advisor at ServiceTitan. This includes things like responding professionally to both the good and the bad reviews, regularly monitoring reviews, and using insights gathered from reviews to improve the services they offer.
