ABM announced that its ABM Building Services business has been selected by the Franklin City, Virginia, Public Schools to implement a district-wide energy and facility improvement project through ABM’s Bundled Energy Solutions program.
Bob and Tim were on their way to a no cooling call at an office building with a 100-ton water-cooled chiller. As always, management was in a hurry to get the problem solved because the tenants were hot.

Alpine Mechanical Services has announced the completion and results of a collaborative energy efficiency study on rooftop units conducted by Alpine Mechanical, Siemens Industry, and Nexant. The study tested the efficacy of HVAC preventative maintenance best practices in a retail environment.
This analysis shows how a water-cooled 500-ton chiller system when compared to a 500-ton air-cooled chiller system results in approximately $45,000 in annual operating costs savings. Additionally, the water-cooled system reduces peak energy demand by 45 percent.
