The Benchmark X14™ is an energy-efficient 14 SEER compressor. 

For the commercial air conditioning sector, two new sizes — 9 and 10 hp — of Copeland Scroll™ compressors are available. 

Some contractors and wholesalers are concerned about how to sell the value of compressor electronics to homeowners, but about a quarter surveyed see no barriers to selling whatsoever.

Five models comprise the GSD 6 Scroll Compressor Series. Their capacities are in the 10- to 20-ton range. 

Available in six models with cooling capacities that range from 7.5 to 15 tons of refrigeration, WSH Series R-410A scroll compressors are optimized to operate at low temperature ratios, resulting in higher efficiency at part-load conditions. 

The Copeland Scroll™ Digital retrofit kit is designed to help contractors take advantage of the precise capacity, temperature, and humidity control offered by the Copeland Scroll Digital compressor. 

Compressor overheating is usually caused from high compression ratios. High compression ratios can be caused from a combination of high condensing pressures (temperatures) and low suction (evaporating) pressures.

Determining that a compressor has failed on a refrigeration system is normally a relatively simple procedure. But, discovering why the original compressor failed may not be as simple.
