While it may never be possible for an HVAC contractor to chill out on the job, installing and servicing chillers continues to be easier and easier, as, according to several manufacturers, today’s chillers are being designed with the contractor in mind.

HVACR contractors send their employees out on the road every day, and they know it’s all too easy for anyone to become distracted at the wheel.

Industry revenue for the global HVAC industry is forecast to reach an estimated $95 billion in 2018, according to “Global HVAC Equipment Industry 2013-2018: Trend, Profit, and Forecast Analysis,” a market research report released by Lucintel. 

When it comes to large equipment that powers HVAC systems, the old saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” definitely rings true. And nowhere is an ounce of prevention more beneficial than with chiller maintenance.

A tradeoff has always existed between the water temperature at which hydronic heat emitters are sized and their cost. The higher the supply water temperature assumed by the designer, the smaller the required heat emitters and the lower their installed cost.
