There’s a strong push to grow the hydronic and radiant market, and one of the forces behind that push is Mark Eatherton, the Radiant Professionals Alliance's new executive director.

The millennial generation, born between 1980 and 2000, numbers more than 80 million, and they are entering the workplace in greater numbers each year. For HVAC contractors, this trend is a mixed blessing. Younger workers are needed, but this generation comes with a unique set of challenges. 

The 9,000-, 12,000-, and 18,000-Btu single-zone line of compact cassettes and slim duct systems now fit a wider range of installations; they can be coupled with a single-zone heat pump or air conditioning unit as well as with a multi-zone outdoor condensing system. 

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) Short-Term Energy and Winter Fuels Outlook, the EIA expects higher prices this winter for homes that heat with natural gas, propane, and electricity. Home heating oil prices are expected to be lower than last winter.
