Lime Energy Co., a provider of energy efficiency services to utilities and their commercial customers, announced that it is moving its corporate headquarters from Huntersville, North Carolina, to Newark, New Jersey.

Friedrich Air Conditioning, San Antonio, has donated air conditioning units to a historic Chicago theater and a San Antonio ministry that helps impoverished families in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. 

The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) has announced that the 47th Annual HRAI Annual General Meeting and Conference has the theme “Opportunities through Challenge & Change.” Following that theme, this year’s event is implementing changes to provide an improved conference.

Uponor North America held an official groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the company’s seventh expansion in the greater Twin Cities area. The $18 million expansion project will add an additional 88,000 square feet for lean manufacturing, office space, and additional manufacturing equipment.

The Timken Museum of Art was recently presented with the 2014 EPA Battle of the Buildings Energy Star award by Gina McCarthy, administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Kevin Faulconer, mayor of San Diego.

Two members of RSES in Texas recently passed the organization’s Certificate Member (CM) exam and were awarded CM status. They are: Mark A. Ferguson, CM, of the Cowtown Chapter, Fort Worth, Texas, and Jose J. Medina, CM, of the Refrigeration Association of San Antonio Chapter, San Antonio.

Gov. Edmund Brown Jr. recently issued an executive order to establish a California greenhouse gas reduction target of 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030 — an aggressive benchmark designed to substantially reduce carbon emissions over the next decade and a half.

Gov. Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania announced that nearly 140 businesses across the state will soon install energy-efficiency or pollution-prevention projects using Small Business Advantage Grants provided by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). This year, DEP awarded more than $980,000 to 139 small businesses.

Danfoss was recently named by the Economic Development Council of Tallahassee/Leon County as a featured business as part of the council’s “Made in Tallahassee: Produced Regionally, Sold Globally" initiative.
