What happens when digital-buying millennials increasingly take over B2B buying, and they find lower prices for equal or better goods from online sellers?

The Dayton, Ohio-based wholesale HVACR distribution company, which was founded in 1962 by Kevin and Jason Trimbach’s grandfather, Jerry Trimbach, and business partner Jim Winget, now staffs 119 employees.

“I am enthusiastic about my work and the overall industry because we are at a really exciting time with a huge generational change, tons of new technology advancements, and great people to work with,” Roberts said. “With all of that, there is never a dull moment, and there is plenty to work on and change in our industry.”

Rolly Johnson, president, Blacks, will remain with the combined company as eastern regional manager, overseeing all branches east of the Cascades.

With 70 years of history, Robertson Supply, a residential and commercial plumbing wholesaler, has eight locations spanning Idaho and Oregon.

“I hope to continue to learn the trade and become the guy people go to when they have tough questions that need answering," Reihm said.

MSI Supply will remain under the leadership of Chad Smith, who has managed the company through its rapid growth since 2011, when he became a co-owner.
