Thrifty Supply to Acquire Blacks Wholesale
Blacks Wholesale is an HVAC distributor with five branches throughout eastern Washington and western Montana
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Thrifty Supply, an HVAC distributor with eight branches throughout the greater Northwest and Northern California, announced it will acquire the assets of Spokane, Washington-based Blacks Wholesale Distributing Inc., an HVAC distributor with five branches throughout eastern Washington and western Montana.
Thrifty will acquire all of the operating assets of Blacks Wholesale on or about Dec. 14. After that date, the combined company will continue to operate under both the Thrifty and Blacks names indefinitely.
Thrifty and Blacks are both independent, family-owned businesses with multiple generations of family ownership and management. Both businesses’ people share many of the same values and culture. Thrifty and Blacks, each members of the Blue Hawk buying group, have been respected competitors for decades. By joining together, they have the unique opportunity to expand their valued customer service throughout their current markets.
Rolly Johnson, president, Blacks, will remain with the combined company and continue his exceptional work with customers and employees. Both companies are excited to announce that Rolly has agreed to become the eastern regional manager and will oversee all branches east of the Cascades.
All of the Blacks Wholesale employees will be offered employment by Thrifty with access to a full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, matching 401k retirement plans, and PTO/sick leave.
