The HVAC industry relies heavily on trade groups to build and install its systems, and we will only fulfill the demand if we welcome women into the HVAC workforce.

The International Network for Women in Cooling has appointed
Colleen Keyworth as president for 2023, with Dr. Ina Colombo-Youla as president-elect to succeed her in 2024.
The Women in HVACR conference went on without a hitch with over 400 members in attendance, 45 exhibiting sponsors, and an Ignite Gala that “set the roof on fire.”
All of these women have made a mark on the HVAC industry and continue to do so. While they serve in different areas of the industry, each is making a contribution to both improve the industry and make it a more welcoming career for females.
Introducing women to the trades and all the opportunities it provides is essential for our industry. We are in desperate need of qualified, exceptional individuals to help the home service businesses thrive and hope that women see it as a viable career.
The HVACR industry has changed so much since I entered. To see women develop into mentors and leaders in this industry is amazing. I am so proud to be a member of Women in HVACR.
To increase the number of women in HVACR, and engineering in general, an introduction to and continued emphasis on STEM starting at a young age is crucial.
