Venstar®, a thermostat and energy management systems supplier, announced that its ColorTouch® color touch screen Wi-Fi thermostat received a 2016 internet of things (IoT) Evolution Connected Home and Building Award from IoT Evolution magazine. This award honors organizations delivering innovative solutions that enable the advancement of the smart home and buildings industry.

Trane has been identified as the Lifestory Research 2017 America's Most Trusted® HVAC System Brand for the third year in a row. The study is based on the opinions of 9,082 consumers and their level of trust of specific HVAC system brands. To qualify to participate in the study, participants must have indicated that they were aware of specific HVAC system brands. As the 2017 Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted HVAC System Brand, Trane produced the highest net trust quotient score.

LonMark® International, a non-profit international association recognized for the certification, education, and promotion of interoperability standards for control networking, announced the winners of its “Best of the Year” awards for 2016. LonMark certified products, people, and companies have been the basis for thousands of open, interoperable systems across the globe. These annual awards reflect the vision and innovation shared among the members of the LonMark community.

 

ServiceTitan, a provider of business management software for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical residential contractors, was named as a finalist in the Customer Service Department of the Year and Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year categories in the 11th annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service. As a Finalist, ServiceTitan will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program. 

The Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) is seeking nominations for the 2017 Tony Woods Award for Excellence in Advancing the Home Performance Industry. The award recognizes the individual who has most advanced the home performance industry over the past year and who has demonstrated dedication to and activism in the home performance industry. The award will be presented at the HPC National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, which runs from March 19-22, 2017. 

Fifty-five people were recognized for their contributions to ASHRAE and the industry at the Society’s 2017 Winter Conference, Jan. 28-Feb. 1, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the 2016 Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) Annual Conference in Colorado Springs, NATE recognized nine HARDI member companies for their outstanding efforts to promote NATE technician certification in the HVACR industry.
