The Dave Nelsen Scholarship was established in 1999 as a way to remember and recognize the commitment to education made by OESP member Dave Nelsen. The scholarship is awarded to students who are attending or planning to attend a technical college or trade school in pursuit of a career in the oil and energy industries.

The membership of the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals (OESP) has unanimously voted to hire Jaffe Communications of Newark, New Jersey, to serve as its next executive director, following the retirement of Judy Garber on Aug. 1.

OESP, the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals, announced that it will offer an extensive educational program during its 61st Annual Convention & Trade Show at Hershey® Lodge in Hershey, Pennsylvania, May 17-21, 2015.

OESP will also host its Care to Ride event on Sept. 21. Care to Ride is the organization’s main fundraiser for its nonprofit, Oil Heat Cares. 

The Road Show’s educational program featured more than 13 hours of managerial and technical classes with plenty of opportunities to earn NATE and NORA continuing education units.

OESP honored Dan Holohan, owner, HeatingHelp.com, with a certificate recognizing him for all he’s done on behalf of its scholarship program. 

Dan Holohan will present his seminar, Classic Hydronics, on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Holiday Inn in Grantville, Pa. All proceeds from this seminar will benefit the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals’ (OESP’s) Dave Nelsen Scholarship Program.
