“I’m genuinely enthusiastic about our industry because I’m doing something I really enjoy and really care about,” said Sheehan-Jelinek. “This is an exciting time in our industry. We are leading our companies though the digital migration and changing landscape that journey brings. It’s impossible not to be enthusiastic about that.”

As we prepare to flip the calendar and turn our focus to the future, I feel moved to share a few of my predictions that are sure to come true in 2019.

The Dayton, Ohio-based wholesale HVACR distribution company, which was founded in 1962 by Kevin and Jason Trimbach’s grandfather, Jerry Trimbach, and business partner Jim Winget, now staffs 119 employees.

“I am enthusiastic about my work and the overall industry because we are at a really exciting time with a huge generational change, tons of new technology advancements, and great people to work with,” Roberts said. “With all of that, there is never a dull moment, and there is plenty to work on and change in our industry.”

Holladay was recognized at the PTDA Annual Industry Summit meeting Oct. 17-20 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“If you’re not passionate about this industry, go find one you are passionate about,” Quinn said. “Passion seems to be the biggest differentiator between those who do really well in the industry and those who do not.”

“I feel like I learned this industry through trial and error with no one paying attention to everything around me," Miller said. "The industry has changed so much, and I don’t think anything is the same as it was 17 years ago.”

"Every house and building has heat and air," Mesalam said. "It is an industry that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The opportunities are endless."

Despite its apparent eminence, Amazon still lacks the knowledge necessary to size, install, and distribute mechanical equipment.
