2022 Top 40 Under 40: Juan Guevara

Juan Guevara is only 22 years old, but he already has five years of professional HVAC experience, recently obtaining his contractor’s license at the age of 21. He is also the proud owner of a new business called Nexgen Air Conditioning.
“This came after a few years of hard, intensive work, both mentally and physically. I worked for a handful of companies starting at the age of 17,” Juan said.
Currently, the business consists of two employees — Juan and his father.
“For the future, I would like to grow the company with multiple vans running service calls or installs. As of now, I am conducting administrative tasks at my home on my own time after running the production side of the business in the day,” Juan said.
Juan’s father has worked in the HVAC industry for years and passed that passion on to his son.
“If there is someone to thank, it is my father. I am grateful for having him in my life. He is the one who forged me into who I am now,” Juan said.
Juan was top of his class in the HVAC academy. He passed the EPA universal with a near-perfect score of 97%. He also was able to become a lead installer at only 20 years of age.
“I am always up for a challenge, and I am eager to learn new things,” Juan said. “I know I am just getting started, but me and my dad have been a good team. I am proud of what I do, and from the very beginning, at a young age, I believed in my blue-collar route. I live, eat, breathe HVAC.”
