CONKLIN, N.Y. — Dale Norton, director of sales, Meier Supply Co., was recently honored with the 2017 Controls Group North America (CGNA) Leadership Award. CGNA is a network of HVACR controls distributors and manufacturers, providing innovative controls solutions and resources for their businesses. Distributors and manufacturers work together in one community-based network to accomplish what they cannot do alone while changing the way business is done in the industry.

“Every organization needs leadership to move forward successfully,” said Jim Hayman, director of business development, CGNA. “Within CGNA, the management team works closely with the board of directors to keep us on track; however, there are also individual distributors within the group who willingly step up with their time and energy to help keep this group growing and profitable. Those individuals are greatly valued, and this award is to recognize such a member. The recipient of this year’s leadership award is known for his business insight and years of experience as a distributor. CGNA is a better organization because of his contribution and leadership.”

Norton has spent his 30-year career working in the family business just as his father, John, did before him. He is the director of sales for all 17 branches, serves on Meier Supply’s board of directors, and the executive board.

Meier Supply is a 100 percent employee-owned wholesale distributor of HVAC/R products with more than 160 employees and 17 locations throughout New York and Pennsylvania.
