ICP Names Distributors of the Year

BreakingNews.jpg
December 30, 2016

LEWISBURG, Tenn. — International Comfort Products (ICP) announced nine distributors have been named the Arcoaire®, Comfortmaker®, Day & Night®, Heil®, and Tempstar®U.S. distributors of the year. ICP is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. The awards were based on achievements in customer support and sales growth.

ICP’s general manager of North American sales, Charlie Piranian, presented the awards to:

United Refrigeration’s West Region - Arcoaire Distributor of the Year

United Refrigeration’s West Region won the award for their planning. “In 2015, United Refrigeration developed and executed a plan to take advantage of industry efficiency changes,” says Piranian. “Those efforts increased their sales by 35 percent.”

Carr Supply - Comfortmaker Multi-Branch Distributor of the Year

Carr Supply received the award for their dealer relationships. “Carr Supply ensures that new product introductions are adopted early and introduced to their customers through systematic communication and dealer training,” says Piranian. “They hold multiple dealer events throughout the year to promote positive interaction between the dealer, distributor, and vendor.”

Coastal Supply - Comfortmaker Single-Branch Distributor of the Year

Coastal Supply earned the award for the efforts of the company’s sales team. “With experienced outside and inside sales teams, they make sure to maintain a solid inventory of both mainline and entry products,” says Piranian. “Add in a complete promotion and advertising line-up, and dealers have everything they need in a distributor.”

Air Cold, Southern California - Day & Night Multi-Branch Distributor of the Year

Air Cold won the award for the company’s adaptation in an ever-changing industry. “They helped their dealers adapt to the Southwest Regional Standards and ultra-low nitrogen oxides (NOx) furnace requirements,” says Piranian. “They’ve also been very pro-active during the ICP SAP conversion.”

Robert Madden Industries - Day & Night Single-Branch Distributor of the Year

Robert Madden received the award because of their mastery of training and promotions.

“They embraced SmartSense™ technology and exceeded expectations when they made a strong push to their dealers to attend inverter training,” says Piranian. “They also participate heavily in our Work Your Way Outdoors™ dealer incentive program (WYWO) to build stronger relationships with their dealers.” WYWO is an ICP dealer incentive program that rewards dealer loyalty with hunting, fishing, golf, and other outdoor-related dealer incentives.

Guarino Distributing - Heil Multi-Branch Distributor of the Year

Guarino won for the company’s outside sales team. “With a strong, aggressive outside sales team and a Heil truck-wrapping program that has dozens of rolling billboards traveling all over their area, New Orleans knows Guarino,” says Piranian. “And their dealers know they can rely on them for solid inventory and good use of Heil programs.”

Control Aire Supply - Heil Single-Branch Distributor of the Year

Control Aire was praised for their excellent customer service. “After marketing Heil for over 25 years, this hard-working group has created a very loyal dealer base,” says Piranian. “Their ‘concierge’ service includes opening the branch after hours and on weekends without additional charges.”

Sid Harvey Industries - Tempstar Multi-Branch Distributor of the Year

Sid Harvey earned the award because of their ability to recruit and retain new dealers.

“To recruit new dealers, they use many of ICP’s support programs such as the AIM™ dealer recruiting program and WYWO dealer incentive program, and create their own programs, including a large dealer incentive trip,” says Piranian. “All of their customers reap the benefits of their more-than-a-dozen technical service advisors.”

Lake Charles Winair - Tempstar Single-Branch Distributor of the Year

Lake Charles Winair won for their work in the multi-family market. “In 2015, they won several large multi-family jobs, which is one of the reasons why they saw such a significant sales increase,” says Piranian. “They participate heavily in this fast growing segment and it’s working.”

Each year, ICP selects U.S. Distributors of the Year from among of hundreds of independent distributors located throughout the  country for outstanding achievements in sales growth and customer support. Congratulations to all nine of the winning distributors.
