Course Description: This new workshop combines two of Business Development Resources’ (BDR) most popular courses, Accounting and QuickBooks, into one three-day session. Learn or review accounting fundamentals, then see how they apply to QuickBooks, all in a format that is specific to the HVAC industry. The first two days are dedicated to educating owners and bookkeepers on the fundamentals of accounting and office management. The proper methods and procedures of accounting will be reviewed, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and work through specific exercises to apply these processes. Attendees will also learn to properly manage an administrative department. Day 3 will explain how to apply the popular QuickBooks accounting software to the HVAC industry. This course will clarify how to properly maintain accounting information using vital reporting to reach your business goals. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of QuickBooks and how to properly account for various types of transactions that will provide management with a formatted balance sheet, departmentalized profit and loss statement, and other necessary management reporting.
