VERO BEACH, Fla. — Westrom Software has announced the launch of new QR code equipment tracking software for service businesses, including HVAC, that is QuickBooks compatible, easy to install, and simple to use, said the company.

The software allows a business to affix a weatherproof QR code to equipment and products, which allows the service company to geo-reference the location of equipment, view customer information, view service history, instantly create a quote, and capture a customer signature. The software also allows a business’s customers to scan the QR code to request service for the equipment, and review payment history.

“The software accomplishes many different functions that allow service companies the ability to better manage their business,” said Bill Westrom, president of Westrom Software. “The QR code allows for customer stop verification, it also geo locates equipment, and provides service history as well as additional customer information.
