March 24, 2004: PowerCold To Use Teletrol Controllers
Under the terms of the agreement, PCS will promote, sell, install, and service Teletrol controllers. Teletrol will provide PCS with energy management systems, including direct digital control (DDC) equipment that is specifically designed to control rooftop units, fancoil units, heat pumps, packaged HVAC units, unit ventilators, and other single room to multi-site control applications. PCS will market these applications for the control of HVAC installations in hotels, extended-care facilities, chain stores, and restaurants.
Robert Yoho, president of PowerCold ComfortAir Solutions Inc., stated, "Rising energy prices and energy conservation initiatives are strengthening the demand for energy-saving HVAC controls. Teletrol's DDC controls provide superior control of HVAC systems when compared to older technologies such as mechanical, pneumatic, or distributed electronic systems. Improved HVAC controls are just one of the ways we are aggressively growing to meet the increased market demand for improved indoor air quality and energy-saving enhancements."
