This program draws on key findings from the AABC “Source Air Temperature Troubles” article to highlight common pitfalls in air handling systems, from coil sealing issues to improper airflow distribution, and to show how rigorous testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) practices can prevent them. Participants will explore how certified independent TAB firms, under AABC standards, diagnose and correct temperature and airflow problems that emerge in real world installations. The course explains the principles of Total System Balancing and positions it as a proactive solution for integrated HVAC performance. Finally, the program connects TAB fundamentals to each project phase, design, early construction, construction, and acceptance, showing how early TAB involvement helps avert system problems and ensures compliance with design intent temperature and airflow criteria.
