Contractor University announced the addition of an online technical training program to its collection of member benefits. Through a partnership with Interplay Learning, Contractor University now adds a technical training option to its membership offerings.
Unlike the last transition, which shifted from the use of one nonflammable refrigerant to another, many of these new refrigerants are mildly flammable (A2L), so additional training will be needed in order to safely use them.
Manufacturers in the HVAC industry have an incentive to get more people into the skilled trades, and they have been exerting effort to develop the future workforce.
