Embue, a Boston-based manufacturer of connected heating and cooling controls, has announced a new product offering and a partnership agreement with Jackson Systems, a leading manufacturer of HVAC zoning systems.

The Lyric™ Wi-Fi thermostat delivers comfort at home and savings when you’re away, automatically, based on your smartphone’s location using geofencing technology. 

The partnership combines CEIVA’s HEMS with the Carrier smart ComfortChoice Touch thermostat to provide enhanced intelligence and control for both utility companies and homeowners. 

Carrier has teamed with CEIVA Energy, a utility-controlled home energy management system (HEMS) provider, to develop a new way for homeowners to improve energy efficiency.

The Heil Observer Communicating Wall Control with zoning capabilities now manages individual zone airflow, temperature, humidification, dehumidification, ventilation, and IAQ in up to six zones.

Effective July 1, any person or contractor who replaces a mercury-containing thermostat in New York or Connecticut must deliver it to an appropriate collection site to be recycled.
