Westinghouse’s R8HE gas/electric packaged system is now available in a downflow configuration. The R8HE is said to be the first condensing gas/electric packaged unit for residential applications and offers a heating efficiency of 95 percent AFUE.

The Westinghouse EarthDirEX™ 19+ EER, 3.9+ COP geothermal direct geoexchange heat pump is said to require less drilling than other geothermal systems. Also, there is no earth-to-water heat exchanger component, so the heat pump transfers heat more efficiently.
