Intelligent Network Thermostat Helps School District Reduce Energy Costs

Telkonet Awarded $1.2 Million Energy Efficiency Retrofit Project on Military Base

Telkonet Inc. announced that its Telkonet SmartEnergy™ (TSE) energy management system has been selected for installation in over 3,000 units of an East Coast military base’s housing. Telkonet said it was chosen because of the energy savings achievable with its SS1107 line, a versatile system for older PTAC units.

U.S. Energy Group completed USE-Analysis Case Study #241, an analysis of a 39-building portfolio. After conducting its fuel consumption study, the company installed a USE Controller™ Energy Management System (EMS) into each building, and the total amount of fuel use was reduced by over 16 percent.

Cisco Saves by Improving Exhaust Recirculation in Data Center

February 15, 2010
Cisco Systems achieved an estimated saving of $120,000 per year in energy costs via simulation of a data center. Simulation results were used to guide the placement of floor grilles and blanking panels that lowered IT equipment inlet temperatures, making it possible to raise the chilled water set point by 8°F.

Lone Star College System in Texas is updating facilities across eight campuses to be more comfortable, safe, and sustainable for students, staff, and visitors. Johnson Controls is overseeing the energy savings program that is projected to save more than $65 million in energy costs over the next 20 years.
