ACCA and IAQA Join Forces for 2009 Expo

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) have agreed to hold their annual meetings at the same time and geographic location. This move is expected to double the 2009 Indoor Air Expo in size and scope.

California Moves on Zero Net Energy

California is moving to the forefront in mandating lower energy costs with the recent proposal for zero net energy standards. A state public utilities commissioner and administrative law judge recently issued a proposal for energy-efficiency measures for new residential construction projects beginning in 2020 and commercial construction beginning in 2030.

Contractors consistently say that they always offer a higher-efficient product when giving a homeowner a price. And I believe them. But maybe they should offer a third price as well for an even higher-efficient product and more homeowners might purchase the offer that is right in the middle.
