Carrier announced it will provide Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) with its ComfortChoice® thermostat for the utility’s energy demand management program. The thermostats will be used by OG&E for its SmartHours® program, which is looking to reduce peak demand for electricity.
Through guided programming options, homeowners can maintain control of their home comfort system, or simply let the Bryant Housewise thermostat do all the work for them.

North American Market Recorded 107 Percent Growth; European Market Grew 96 Percent

The number of homes in North America and Europe with a smart thermostat grew by 105 percent to 3.2 million in 2014, according to a new research report from Berg Insight. The North American market recorded 107 percent growth while the European market grew by 96 percent.
