The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has signed on to become one of three Greenbuild Top Tier Partners for 2015, in addition to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.

Rick Fedrizzi, CEO and founding chair of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), has announced that he will be stepping down as CEO at the end of 2016 to make way for a leadership transition that will take place in January 2017.

LEED, a program for the certification of design, construction, maintenance, and operations of green buildings, certifies more than 1.85 million square feet of commercial building space daily. 

USGBC partnered with Keybridge LLC to produce the survey, which was targeted at executives in charge of building operations or corporate sustainability efforts. 

The world’s top-performing companies are prioritizing sustainability as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts, and a majority of them are using the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program to achieve their goals, according to a new survey released by the USGBC.

The USGBC LEED green building rating system has strong bipartisan support across the U.S., according to a recently released poll, conducted by Echelon Insights. 

The USGBC released its annual list of the Top 10 States for LEED, ranking states in terms of square feet of LEED space per state resident.
