Encycle™ has announced the public release of its HVAC Visibility reports, part of its overall Energy as a Service by Encycle (EASE) solution. The solution is designed to maximize the performance of HVAC systems to save commercial and industrial companies money while reducing their carbon footprint.

Panoramic Power, a provider of device-level energy management solutions, has announced the release of Device Analyzer, what the company calls a new data-science approach to energy management that generates actionable energy and operational efficiency insights.

The national weighted change is 47.8 percent more energy efficient than Standard 90.1-2013 based on site energy and 47.8 percent more energy efficient than 90.1-2013 based on source energy.

By adding IoT devices and advanced software to an existing infrastructure, Budderfly’s solution is said to be able to enhance the energy efficiency performance of any building.

As the cost of advanced sensors has decreased and the amount of computational power and data storage has increased, buildings have become data-rich environments, notes Navigant Research.

ALDI has successfully deployed Siemens’ Site Controls Energy Management System (EMS) at nearly 1,500 of its retail locations. The majority of the installations were retrofits at existing stores replacing thermostats or third-party energy management systems, but Siemens also installed Site Controls in newly constructed stores as well.

Though industrial facilities are some of the most energy-intensive buildings worldwide, the drive for continuous operations and a focus on production has usually made energy efficiency a low priority for their operators and managers, notes Navigant Research.

This is an election year, which always leads to even less being accomplished in Washington than normal. A heavy supply of gridlock will likely be served throughout the remainder of 2016.
