The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that it has recognized its 500th Quality Assured (QA) contractor. ACCA launched the QA program in February 2011. Since then the association said there has been a steady flow of contractors applying to the program.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released its annual list of United States metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star certified buildings for 2011. The list of 25 cities is headed by Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Houston, Dallas, Riverside, Calif., and Boston.
