Mar. 21, 2002: January Unitary Shipments Up From Last Year

ARLINGTON, VA — Combined U.S. factory shipments of 364,331 central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps for January were up 2% compared to shipments for the same month last year, according to Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) statistics.

Heat pump shipments included in the January figure were 100,163, up 9% compared to January 2001.
