The E-Z Hatch is an easy-to-install, highly insulated, one-piece, overhead attic access door system. The unit provides a sealed, energy-efficient access opening into the attic space. It installs into the ceiling in minutes with the use of a utility knife and a screwdriver. The door system consists of a wood frame, a hinged insulated door, and all interior trim. The attic access door system is highly insulated and completely weather-stripped. The door is made of expanded polystyrene foam that provides an insulation value of R-48, and hinges out of the way. Available in two sizes, 22 inches by 30 inches, and 22 inches by 22 inches, it can be installed in new construction or retrofit installations. The E-Z Hatch exceeds all building code requirements, including the new Energy Star® requirements.
