In September, York International Corp. celebrated the 130th anniversary of its founding and took steps to highlight its innovative contributions to the industry with the theme "130 years and just getting started." The York Unitary Products Group (UPG) hosted a birthday party at the St. Louis Museum Sept. 16. HVAC contractors who attended the event heard remarks by Tom Huntington, York UPG president, and Matt Peterson, sales and marketing vice president.

"York is 130 years old and just getting started," Huntington remarked. "This is a vibrant, dynamic industry, and it's a privilege to be a part of it. More than a century after the company was founded, York continues to bring innovative technology and products to the heating and air conditioning market, including our recent introduction of the Affinityâ„¢ Series, the new generation of York air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces. With its groundbreaking color options and innovative feature sets, the Affinity Series clearly demonstrates York's continued commitment to the industry as a leader in design and innovation."
