The Midwest Snips® aviation snips feature hot drop-forged steel and copolymer handle grips designed to provide more comfort for hands, especially during extended periods of use, the company states. The snips open to 5-1/2 inches wide. The center pivot bolt on the offset model aviation snips now has a Torx® head, which is designed to make blade readjustment easier. All models of the Midwest Snips aviation snips have a center pivot bolt that is threaded into the bottom blade to keep blades in adjustment longer, says the manufacturer.
