GAINESVILLE, Fla. - DuPont Engineering has entered into a training partnership with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).

Contractor craft personnel assigned to a DuPont site are now required to be assessed and trained with NCCER's standardized construction and maintenance program unless they are otherwise assessed and trained. This agreement applies only to those designated as resident contractors on DuPont sites, the company said.

"We believe this decision is a great step for both DuPont Engineering and our construction and maintenance contractor partners," said Jocelyn Scott, director - DuPont Engineering.

"Increasing the knowledge and skill level of our employees and our contractor workforce is key to creating competitive advantage. Training and continuous improvement is a win for the workforce, a win for DuPont, and a win for our contractor partners."

"We are pleased to be working with DuPont Engineering," said NCCER president Don Whyte. "By providing DuPont resident contractors with a standardized construction and maintenance program, we are helping to ensure a trained and safe workforce."
