The Global Device Service is an addition to the company’s emConnectSMremote device management services, which provides businesses with global access to device information. For businesses that manage a number of devices, such as hvacr equipment, installed at multiple locations, this service is designed to collect, analyze, and manage their device information. Use of this service enables a piece of equipment to automatically notify the building’s maintenance contractor of various failure conditions before the failure occurs, the manufacturer says. Businesses using this service do not have to develop a wide area or global device network communications infrastructure.
