emWare: DEVICE MANAGEMENT SERVICE
The Global Device Service is an addition to the company’s emConnectSM remote device management services, which provides businesses with global access to device information. For businesses that manage a number of devices, such as hvacr equipment, installed at multiple locations, this service is designed to collect, analyze, and manage their device information. Use of this service enables a piece of equipment to automatically notify the building’s maintenance contractor of various failure conditions before the failure occurs, the manufacturer says. Businesses using this service do not have to develop a wide area or global device network communications infrastructure.
