Individual chapters of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Handbook series are now available online. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has recently published two new model safety programs: Model Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan and Model Hazard Communication Program. The publications can be ordered through MCAA’s website at www.mcaa.org/store.
The Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) has announced that three more companies have joined its Certified Ratings Program: Kruger Ventilation (Taiwan) Co., Ltd. of Taiwan, Republic of China; Peerless Electric/Madison Manufacturing Co. of Hot Springs, NC; and Ramfan Corp. of Spring Valley, CA.
The 2000 PMC Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association of Southeastern Wisconsin (PMC), raised a record $11,000 for local charities. The annual event will mark this year as the most successful in its 18-year history, bringing in 10% more than in 1999.
