The company has partnered with General Electric, adding ECM variable-speed motors to its residential and commercial air filtration models. The motors are being used with 600HS Plus and 1200HS Plus air filtration systems. The units will also be available using new DCU/EVO controllers for stand-alone applications where finite speed control is required. Advantages over using standard motors are: systems are programmable, giving users digital control and allowing wider variation; systems are quieter; and they save more than 40% on electricity, the company says.
