The HVACR industry has a well-known challenge — finding and keeping skilled talent. One group that could help fill that gap? Women. The good news: the number of women working in HVAC has doubled since 2017. The not-so-good news: women still make up only about 3% of the industry’s workforce. Here at The ACHR NEWS, we wanted to shine a light on the women who are already making an impact — and inspire more to join them. That’s why we launched our Top Women in HVAC contest. Every year since, we’ve received hundreds of nominations from across the country — highlighting technicians, engineers, business owners, educators, and leaders who are redefining what it means to succeed in this industry. This year, we’re proud to feature these 12 outstanding women.
