2025 Top 40 Under 40: Mike Venidis

It might not have been a direct part of Mike Venidis’ plan to build a career in HVAC — but it had to have been part of some sort of plan. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be here at all.
Venidis was previously a touring musician, and while walking home one night in 2012 after a First Friday Artwalk event in Phoenix, Arizona, he was shot twice in a park and left for dead.
In the hospital, he panicked about paying medical bills, and posted on Facebook asking if anyone had work he could do remotely. One of the founders at RYNO saw his post, and from there, Venidis started to rebuild.
“During the recovery process, RYNO gave me an opportunity to listen to our clients' CSR calls and verify lead quality that came from our digital marketing efforts,” Venidis said. “I quickly fell in love with the home services industry and never looked back.”
Now as chief experience officer at RYNO Strategic Solutions, Venidis has spent more than a decade helping home service contractors achieve transformative growth, while advancing digital strategy, leadership development, and culture-building across the trades.
He’s gone on to help lead and scale RYNO from a $1 million startup into a $93 million business that’s now one of the largest and most reputable digital marketing agencies within the home services space — one of his biggest career accomplishments.
Along the way, he’s built customized marketing strategies for businesses nationwide, helping many achieve ambitious growth — including successful exits. An expert in SEO, SEM, and AI-driven strategies, Venidis empowers HVAC companies to enhance their digital presence and customer engagement.

“His commitment to leadership development and pushing innovation — especially around how contractors adapt to digital and AI-driven change — has elevated the professionalism of the trades,” said Jim Sloan, general manager of TR Miller Heating Cooling & Plumbing, and one of Venidis’ nominators. “Mike regularly speaks at industry events, where his insights inspire owners to lead with integrity and evolve with the times.”
And indeed, he does — many readers have even likely had the pleasure of sitting in on one of Venidis’ sessions over the years. Be it a keynote or a general session, he’s delivered a number of them to contractors nationally, “teaching them how to handle digital marketing, create culture, and develop strong leadership within their teams,” Venidis said.
Outside the office, Venidis extends his leadership to the community, volunteering his time to speak to young people in juvenile detention centers.
At the heart of it all, Venidis’ desire is “to help people grow their businesses, develop strong leaders to lead them, and inspire the next generation by revealing the wealth of opportunity that exists within the trades.”
