May 7, 2025

As HVAC contractors deal with price increases from manufacturers, they need a plan to pass those costs on to the end user. Here are price increases that have occurred in the industry since March:

Air Duct Products: Effective April 15, there was a 10% price increase on all products. The company said this was due to the cost of raw materials having risen significantly.

Amana: The company announced a price increase of up to 8% to 10%, effective April 1, across all residential unitary products. The increase does not include the impact of recent tariffs, according to the company. “We may be required to address the tariff impact with additional adjustments under a separate announcement at a later date,” Amana said in a release.

Arzel Zoning: Arzel Zoning Technology Inc. increased prices beginning May 1. In a message sent to customers, Arzel's vice president of technical and sales, Ken Barton, said the company has experienced “substantial increases” in the price of materials.

Bosch: Bosch announced a 2% increase on heat pumps effective May 1.

Carrier: Effective March 1, Carrier increases prices on residential systems by 6%, light commercial systems by 8%, and commercial applied products by 10%.

Daikin: The company announced a price increase of up to 8% to 10%, effective April 1, across all products; residential and commercial (Unitary, Ductless, VRV, and Light Commercial).  The increase does not include the impact of recent tariffs, according to the company. “We may be required to address the tariff impact with additional adjustments under a separate announcement at a later date,” Daikin said in a release.

Everkem Diversified Products: Everkem Diversified Products, which makes sealants, adhesives, and specialty chemical compounds for construction and industrial applications, announced that prices of a number of its products are expected to increase because of the tariffs on imports. While the majority of the company's products are made in the U.S., some are imported and will be subject to tariffs, a statement emailed to Everkem customers said.

Fieldpiece: Effective May 1, Fieldpiece implemented price increases ranging from 1% to 6%. The reason given was “rising costs in raw materials and new tariffs.”

Fujitsu: A price increase of 3% to 5% was announced and is effective May 1.

Goodman: The company announced a price increase of up to 8% to 10%, effective April 1, across all residential unitary and residential ductless products. The increase does not include the impact of recent tariffs, according to the company. “We may be required to address the tariff impact with additional adjustments under a separate announcement at a later date,” Goodman said in a release.

Heatcraft: Heatcraft/Climate Control announced a price increase of 5% effective April 28.

Honeywell:  On April 11, Honeywell notified customers of a 42% surcharge for R-454B, citing rising raw material costs and anticipated tariffs. This follows a 15% increase the company implemented on the A2L refrigerant in February and an additional 8% hike in March.

ICM Controls: A 12% increase was put on the ICM-518A product, and a 3.5% price increase on all other products. In a letter to customers, the company stated, “After careful review of your feedback following our recent surcharge communications, we have revised our approach to managing the tariffs to better align with your needs.”

K-Flex: A 10% price increase on all products was announced effective April 7. According to the company, it was “due to a force majeure event regarding unprecedented significant and immediate increases in raw material costs.”

Parker-Hannifin: A 5.9% increase was announced on all new orders after March 12. The company said it was the result of “significant new tariffs impacting imported products and materials.”

Regal Rexnord: Effective April 7, the company announced a 3.6% increase on Genteq products. The reason the company gave was “ongoing inflation continues to affect the cost of certain raw materials, component parts, and our global operations across the Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) segment, and we cannot absorb the costs entirely.”

RenewAire: On March 26, RenewAire increased prices 7% on all products, parts, and accessories.

Resideo: A 15% increase on products sold in the Pro Channel, effective March 3, was announced. The company said the rise in price was due to the planned tariffs.

Robertshaw: Due to tariffs, Robertshaw raised prices 15% on selected items.

Williams Furnace: The company added a 2.5% tariff surcharge/price adjustment on April
