EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Koch HVAC Distribution Inc. has acquired Standard Air and Lite, a leading distributor of heating and air conditioning products based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1940, Standard Air serves HVAC customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland from its four locations. Standard Air offers a full product offering, including residential, light commercial, and applied HVAC systems, building automation and controls, and parts, supplies and accessories sourced from hundreds of leading manufacturers.
“We are excited to welcome the entire Standard Air team to the Koch family,” said Brad Muehlbauer, Koch’s president and CEO, in a press release. “Tom Baney and his leadership team have built an excellent organization and will continue to operate the business as a separate division alongside Koch Air, serving a new geographic region for our company. We are eager to support their continued growth and work together to share best practices and invest in our future success.”
“We were pleased to find a pure strategic partner in Koch, and are excited to join forces with such a well-respected, long-standing leader in the HVAC distribution industry,” said Baney, president of Standard Air. “As a family-owned company with similar values and commitment to service, Koch was the logical choice to sustain Standard Air’s legacy, and support our team members, customers, and vendors for continued growth and success.”
