TORONTO — Blade Air, a provider of IAQ products for commercial spaces, has acquired InnerEco Environmental Inc., a residential HVAC filtration firm.
This move marks a significant step in Blade Air’s journey to deliver sustainable IAQ solutions across North America, the company said in a press release.
Blade Air began with the world’s first zero-waste carbon filter, designed to tackle odors in smelly facilities. As the company grew, it uncovered an even bigger challenge — pleated filters that no longer meet modern efficiency and sustainability demands, the press release said.
InnerEco has provided residential air filtration for more than two decades, serving a customer base across North America that includes the Cimatec, Airscreen, ToxBox, and ESSA brands for HVAC contractor networks. Blade Air’s Pro Filter has already proven its value in the commercial sector, helping clients reduce waste, extend filter life, and save energy, the press release said. By integrating InnerEco’s expertise, Blade Air brings these benefits into homes, offering homeowners high-performance filters that improve air quality and protect HVAC systems, the press release said.
“Imagine a world where homeowners never worry about inefficient filters reducing the lifespan of their HVAC system — we are making this a reality,” said Giancarlo Sessa, a co-founder of Blade Air and its chief revenue officer. “Together, we’re pioneering a revolution in air filtration and redefining sustainability in HVAC. Every pleated filter we divert from the landfill supports a cleaner future.”
