The HVAC industry is undergoing a major transition to A2L refrigerants caused by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency phasing down the greenhouse gas refrigerant hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), moving manufacturers to use refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP) instead.

At times, there seems to be more questions than answers regarding the new refrigerants. The ACHR NEWS is enlisting industry experts to help educate HVACR contractors on what are the facts of A2L refrigerants while also identifying fiction about the products.
