How Contractors Can Safely Recover and Recycle A2L Refrigerants
A2L Refrigerant Transition: Fact or Fiction? Episode 1
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is phasing down the greenhouse gas refrigerant hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), moving manufacturers to use refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP) instead. Starting in 2024, HFC production was cut an additional 30%, and the transition to A2L in manufacturing will be nearly complete.
What does this mean for the HVAC contractor? They certainly have a lot of questions about the transition and the A2L refrigerants. The ACHR NEWS is connecting with industry experts to make sure those questions get answered.
We have decided to start a series title: A2L Refrigerant Transition: Fact or Fiction? In the first installment in this series, we talk with Don Gillis who is a technical trainer with Chemours. Gillis travels the country providing top-notch training on the refrigerant transition.
