KENNESAW, Ga. — Packard is excited to announce the addition of Larry Golen to its management team as vice president of channel development. In this position, Golen will work closely across several departments, including product development, sales, and marketing, as well as assist the executive team with strategic planning and implementation. The objective for this role is to expand programs and products to increase sales in some of Packard’s lower performing channels, where the company believes it has an opportunity for future growth. This position will also explore new channels and will work through all aspects of the business methods required to compete while respecting Packard’s existing customer base.

This new role will utilize the unique skill set that Golen has refined over his career in refrigeration, construction products, and specialty materials, just to mention a few. He has worked for several recognizable companies, including General Electric, Texas Instruments, Xerox Corp., and, most recently, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products.

While with Heatcraft, Golen served as the vice president and general manager for North and Central America. From the Stone Mountain, Georgia, office, he was charged with optimal performance for the commercial refrigeration products business serving the food industry as well as a variety of applications in industrial, health care, and other markets. Prior to his work with Heatcraft, Golen served as the vice president and general manager for North, Central, and South Americas for W.R. Grace & Co., out of Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he owned the overall performance in the Americas for the construction products business that served the concrete, cement, building envelope (waterproofing, air/vapor barrier), and fire protection building materials markets.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in technology from Bowling Green State University, where he was later honored with the Accomplished Graduate Award, he also earned an MBA from the University of Dallas.
