DENVER — Hercules Industries, one of America's most efficient and dependable manufacturers and wholesale distributors of high-quality heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sheet metal products and equipment, announced that it has acquired Western Engineering and Supply Company(WESCO). Topeka, Kansas-based Wesco is a manufacturer of spiral pipe and fittings and Thermaduct and KoolDuct phenolic board products. The acquisition combines the unique manufacturing of phenolic board products with Hercules’ large-scale HVAC manufacturing capabilities and allows Hercules to expand its HVAC wholesale market distribution into Kansas.

“This is a tremendous milestone for Hercules, one which validates our mission of investing in our business through growth to provide tools for future opportunities,” said Andy Newland, CEO of Hercules Industries. “The WESCO acquisition expands Hercules’ geographical footprint while introducing a new and innovative HVAC product to the Hercules portfolio. As we take Hercules to our next stage of growth, we are delighted to partner with WESCO, a company that has demonstrated an innovative and visionary approach to developing HVAC products for the HVAC industry.”

Wesco’s ownership group has an association with one of Kansas City’s largest HVAC manufacturer’s representative companies, Jorban-Riscoe. “The market demand for quality HVAC duct fabrication is steadily increasing, and we expect this trend to continue,” said Kevin Harre, Jorban-Riscoe’s vice president of sales and co-owner of Wesco. “The Hercules partnership enables us to build on the strong commercial contractor relationships that we have developed over the years.”
